2010 UK National Mobile Lottery Draw
Scamming

I recieved a SMS through my mobile broadband account on the 09th Feb from the "UK national mobile lottery draw" which had claimed I had won 800, 000.00 pounds in the 2010 UK national mobile lottery draw. It gave me a reference code and an e-mail address where I could make my claim. THIS IS A SCAM DUE TO THE FOLLOWING NUMBER OF REASONS:

1- I am NOT from the UK as I am an Australian resident

2- I had not entered any UK lotto draws of any sort so the SMS did not add up

3- After further research into it I realized thousands of others were being sent the exact same SMS, however with different details. Some people had claimed to have "won" 2 million, 1 million all of different figures with each a different e-mail address to go to in order to "claim".

I hereby warn others to NOT participate in this as it is a scam for cash $$ and am complaining as more people need to be made aware of such scamming operations as they can come in all different shapes and forms, especially when people actually believe they have won such money and go through the procedures only to be ripped off and tricked. I hope others create awareness as this has been going on for some time now. The UK authorities need to look into this and shut the operation of this scam down.
