I tried to get a 3-day trial to a download site to obtain a PDF file advertised as being available on the site (it actually was not available and turned out to be a porn site). I instantly tried to cancel; but later was overcharged on my credit card.
It was through billingsquad.com. I was double charged - $39.73 and $39.73 on the same day. I was also charged $1 and $1. I think the 3-day trial was for $2.97, but I was charged $4.97 $4.97 as the trial price. Then I was also charged an extera $9.82. My credit card showed all the charges were from billingsquad.com. I finally got my subscription stopped 4 days from the start of my trial period. I had tried right away, and thought I had canceled it, but I guess I used the wrong customer support form for cancellation.
I have spent the last month trying to get a partial refund, but to no avail. I am met with automated phone messages, and automated e-mail responses.
I have since searched the Internet and found many people ripped off by megadownloadpass.
I had initially down a quick search before trying the site, but did not find anything bad connected to what was advertised. At this time, I can no longer recall what I did look up, as what they advertised was different from what I viewed once I went through the process of registering.
