I received an email from a "businessman" named Jonathan Bradford who supposedly has a software business in London. He asked me to cash checks from his United States clients and send the money to him or his "associate" Mark Williams.
At first, everything was fine, and the checks cleared the bank. The checks were from a real business and a real bank. I know this because I researched them on the Internet.
I then got a statement from the bank that the check had bounced. Mr. Bradford called shortly after this and when I told him about this, He said he would call me back soon. He didn't call and won't respond to my emails. I have contacted the business and the bank, and am waiting for them to respond.
I kept all of his emails, as well as the receipts from the money transfer. I never got the brochure or website promised to me either.
