My car was collected by a member of staff on behalf of Bray Engineering LTD on 13/12 in order to recondition the engine. On the 15/12 I received an invoice via email from Bray Engineering Ltd outlining the necessary repairs. The invoice stated that the reparation would cost £1800 however at a later date with no explanation; the price had been increased to £2700 by Bray Engineering Ltd. This was money saved by my partner and me towards our wedding. This was paid in full by my partner directly to Bray Engineering LTD’s Lloyds TSB account on 20/12.
We were made to believe the car would be fixed and back within our possession before Christmas. I am yet to receive my fixed car neither have I had any information or feedback from Bray Engineering LTD. I have contacted the above named company on various occasions and have not received any satisfactory information. On 18/01 I went there personally, waited for assistant for a few hours and in this time verbally threatened by a member of staff. I called the police to report the incident and also to explain my predicament. A staff member finally spoke to me informing that they were waiting for parts to repair my car to be delivered within the next 5 working days. I was also informed on this occasion that my car would be fixed before the end of January.
Needless to say I am still waiting for fixing of my car. I have since contacted consumer direct for advice. They advised me to contact Brays Engineering Ltd in writing; I have sent 3 letters in the hopes to resolve this issue with no success. I have now been waiting 4 months for my car to no avail.
