The Removal Group (www.removalgroup.com) are simply a company front who then contract out the work to others. They are disreputable, dishonest, and a rip off. The people they contracted to do the work were actually very good and knew their business.
I contacted the RemovalGroup to pack up my UK belongings and ship them to the US and they provided a quote for work. The volume and price was again discussed and confirmed on the phone a week before pickup. The contractors brought a few more boxes than necessary but it duly fitted in as I had estimated. One week later I received an email stating that the shipping amount was double what was quoted. Asking for a requote the price simply doubled (bizarre as the original price was rounded). No attempt was made to mediate or find alternatives so I cancelled and used someone else.
I lost the money though as they ask for payment up front - another reason not to use these guys. The reputable shipping companies ask for money after pickup and when the volume is confirmed.
Generally a bad business.
