This watch was purchased for me by my partner on 8th January (a complete and lovely surprise for Valentines Day - I had admired it in Ernest Jones Jewelers in Chesterfield. However, the face lens cracked across after only three times of wearing. I took this back to Ernest Jones who sent it off to yourselves to be told that it needed a new glass face at a cost of £70! I advised I had not banged or bumped the watch and I thought it to be a design fault. They said not. I took in to F Hinds in Chesterfield who charged me £35 for the glass to be replaced. They in turn sent it to yourselves and it was returned to me in October last year! However, after wearing again only four times, the face has cracked straight across again. I can assure you that I only wear this watch on special occasions as I am very proud of it and am very careful with it, putting it back in its box after each wearing. I am sure that this cracking of the face is a design fault (the watch is very large which is why I liked it. Therefore, I shall be pleased if you will let me know what can be done about this. I don't want to pay out another £35 to find that it cracks again. I am willing to return this to you for your further investigations please advise
