Good day

I just received a call from Linda who represents MSI Investments in Cape Town. She was clearly reading her sales pitch from a screen/paper. After the whole "Brokers your money", "We will tell you when to buy and when to Sell", etc., she wanted to set up an appointment with one of her senior consultants to come and see me.

Now, I am a Registered Financial Planner myself, so I just asked her the following questions:

1. Are you a registered Financial Services Provider (FSP)? To which she replied yes.
2. Please supply me with your Financial Services Board (FSB) license number. She could not.
3. She also would not disclose their physical address.

After posing another few questions to her, she ended the call. Not a very profesional way to deal with questions I would say.

People be warned. This is just another get rich sheme going around. These people will try to sell you a "Package" that is going to teach you how to deal in shares. Once they have your money, you will never hear or see them again.

All FSP's need to be registered with the FSB. If your's is not, take your money away and move it to one which is, as quickly as possible.
