I have been looking for a job for a long time so when M.I.H enterprises rang me offering an interview I was thrilled.
I buzzed number four on the intercom as they said to do but I noticed something was wrong when a lady asked me if I was also going to an interview. I said yes and we got talking and apparently she had read bad things about them on the internet.
I thought she was just a bit of a crazy old lady to be honest and just carried on through. I was directed to the top floor where a receptionist greeted me. She was really nice and asked me about my family and where I lived. At that point the lady i'd previously met walked out of the reception area.
I said I wasn't sure on what the job required so asked her what I would be doing if I was to be offered the job. She said "Oooh you'll have to ask the questions in the interview" She was very secretive but I thought nothing of it at the time.
The receptionist kept saying how lovely it was to work for such an important company and how everyone that worked there was always so happy. We were all asked to fill in an application form which had questions about our education, address, marital status, general health.
I looked at some of the questions and thought it was a bit strange how personal they were getting but just carried on. There was upbeat music playing and the girl behind reception carried on being really nice. It got to a point where it sounded like she was being a bit too nice.
We were asked into the interview in twos. I was with a girl called melissa who was a student at our local uni. The "managing director" talked really fast to the point where I honestly couldn't hear what he was saying. I didn't want to sound stupid asking him what he had said so just nodded and smiled. I noticed that everytime he answered any of our questions he would divert our attention by scribbling on a piece of paper or talking about the fancy car he drives.
At the end of the interview he told us we had successfully got the job. I was over the moon! He asked us to come in for a day of training. He said he had 18 year olds working for him that earn 800 pounds a week!
I told my mum the good new when she told me all about the scams that this company have pulled. They claim to work for N power, E-on, Sky TV, AXA.
They are completely ripping people off... getting friendly with them and finding out about your family. They need to see a copy of your passport to copy it... your bank details to pay you. They know your family history and that's it identity stolen.
Please do not fall for it like I nearly did/!!
