On 28 May we booked and paid online for a car to be picked up in Newcastle on 07 Aug for four days. On arrival at Newcastle Airport, the most unfriendly of agents (Europcar was the vendor) told us they had no cars available. After much discussion, there was no offer of assistance or help, we were told that we should try another car rental company and that we would be refunded the money we had prepaid. We then went to the Avis counter and booked and paid for a car. Needless to say we have not had a refund on the money prepaid on 28 May. It has been over six months and we are so frustrated by this process, and by the silence from [URL Removed] Clearly it is an entirely simple matter which should have been addressed many months ago.
