Bad experience with Currys

I purchased a television from Currys in November. A few days after receiving the TV, the screen started flashing black pictures on and off. I didn't report the problem immediately as i felt maybe the TV wasn't tuned properly. After installing SKY on the TV, the problem got even worse and the screen would black out for a good ten minutes sometimes.

The problem became really annoying, to the point where it was impossible to watch a program comfortably. Eventually i reported the problem to Currys, they came into my home to fix the television and a day after the same problem re-occurred even worst. I called Currys again and reported the problem, they came into my house again and claimed to fix the problem. The problem persisted. Bear in mind each time i had to contact currys, i would have to spend a good 30 minutes on the phone in order get somewhere.

The third time i called back they came and took my television away for over TWO MONTHS. I called back to back, trying to get my TV back. Sometimes i would be on hold for 45 minutes before getting through to any one. When i did get through to someone, no one seemed to be able to help. At one point i was told that they cannot find my TV in the warehouse, and they will deliver it as soon as they were able to locate it.

Their staff are the most unhelpful set of workers i have ever come across. Eventually i demanded a full refund for my TV as they obviously sold me a faulty TV and were not able to fix it. Each advisor i spoke to would tell me they were not able to help. They kept transferring between the technical services and the customer services department. Technical services would say, you can get a refund but you need to speak to with customer services as they have no authority to refund me. When i did get through to customer services they would say i need to speak with tech support so that they could authorize the refund. They just kept transferring me back and forth. At one point one the advisors hung up the phone on me, as he refused to help.

I have never, in my entire life received such poor service from any company. The last person i spoke to, told me i will never get a refund no matter what and i should just wait till Currys decide to return my TV. Eventually after a hefty phone bill from having to keep calling Curry's and being without a television for about 10 weeks, they returned my TV. After all of that, the TV has been returned and i am still having the same problems.
