I had paid £125 for the Comet Repair service back in May. After I had 3 different engineers out to my property on 5 separate occasions replacing 3 separate parts I still do not have a working dishwasher. In one instance they replaced the same part twice.
After all this in convince and over 1 month of contacting their complaints department, I was told that they would provide a partial refund, as the device could not be repair, given the hassle caused I believe this is unacceptable.
Should I have been told this on the 1st visit I would be less frustrated, however the process was dragged out for 3 months and along the way I only spoke to one individual who showed some understanding, however she was not high enough in the process to make a final decision. I finally chased down a lady: Susan Thompkins, who was unhelpful and would not pass me onto a department that I could talk through my situation.
In short, if you have a simple issue with your appliance, don't use the fixed price option as it is uneconomical and if you have a serious issue with your appliance, don't use the fixed price option as they are most unprofessional and are happy to leave a client high and dry without a solution to their issue.
