Londis Manager Concerning Behaviour

Even though Londis have been contacted a number of times they have never come back to me even though they have been forwarded the reply from Nestle.

With reference to the attached two of these were purchased in person and with cash from Londis, Sunninghill, Ascot, Berkshire on 18/08/25. I was told I could not have the receipt even though the competition on the box was in date. I informed the manager (as the man who was serving me told me he was the actual shop manager) that I did not want the receipt for the competition but for my own personal financial records. He wanted to know why I needed it for my business records; I answered why do you want to know and he said I need to report it to Nescafe. He refused to give it to me and told me to contact you for it even though he told me I was very polite, have good body language and communicated well. I did query with the manager how could you give it to me as I thought a receipt was only available at the time of transaction. He told me still no and would not even give me a duplicate receipt and he had pressed the delete receipt button and told me to contact you for the receipt. The manager was beginning to get agitated and his body language was changing – his eyebrows raised, starring look, standing straight and upright, arms straight up above his head and he was muttering (inaudible) so I left quickly and worried (I have ASD and do not know what I did to get this reaction.)

Receipts can only be issued by the retailer’s till system at the time of purchase. Unfortunately, Nescafé is unable to provide or re-issue receipts, as this is solely within the retailer’s control. We are sorry to hear about your experience at the Londis store and that you were not given a receipt on this occasion.
As this concerns store practice, we would recommend raising the matter directly with Londis Customer Services, who will be best placed to assist you further.
We do, however, appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will ensure that your feedback is shared with our brands team for visibility.
