Momentum Sheffield turning me down FLT course because of my conviction

To Whom it my concern,
On the 10th of December 2024, I signed up to an FLT course with a member of Momentum staff called Shaunna at the Sheffield Job Centre. I completed the forms and was honest and open. On the 16th of December 2024 , at 16.22 I received a telephone call to say that momentum would not take me on the course because of the nature of my conviction.
This to me is a form of discrimination which is not acceptable. I have been in prison, I have served my time and I have been punished. I realise how serious this offence is and would like to explain the circumstances and what I have done to move on and demonstrate that I will not reoffend. The offences occurred when I suffered from anxiety and depression, struggles in the relationship with my partner and also having the wrong support system surrounding me. At the time I also had an unhealthy relationship with alcohol.
During my time in custody, I have been supported by mental health professionals, alcohol support teams and Horizon rehabilitation programme to address my anxiety, depression, use of alcohol now ceased. I have learnt skills and tools I can now use to deal with my mental health and addiction better, moving forward and I am able to reflect on my actions to ensure I can better myself. During my time in prison, I became a Samaritans volunteer, a Horizon Champion and I also found faith and became a Christian, I was baptized in prison which for me symbolises the end of an old life and the start of a new life. All of which meant I was able to find myself again and want to do right in my life.
Upon my release, I have proactively engaged with several agencies such as probation, support workers at an activity hub, personal wellbeing and the job centre to build on myself. I am very reflective and put into practice what I learn to lead a law-abiding life. I am lucky to have support from family and friends who have stuck by me throughout this stage in my life.
As you can see from the above I have changed and I now wish to be a law abiding citizens, it is unfair and not justified not to give me the chance to get full time employment. I would like you to re think your decision not to allow me to complete the course.
Thanking you in advance
