UK, Lottery Scam won 1.2 million in USD, wanted $800 sent to ship the check Lorraine, Ripoff

This is the second time in less than a week I have had a lottery scam come across my computer, 1st one from Amsterdam, now UK Lottery. I am a police officer here in the U.S. and am furious. I contacted both playing as if I was excited about winning, then they put me through via email to a courier. Which in turn want (first scam) $2, 000 for transfer of funds to a fake bank (Falcon Trust) then the UK lottery scam, I checked the web site, no one can win outside of UK! So why target the states? Mrs. Dodds stated "Oh, we do that so they reduce scams on the internet" Umm ok. Then the courier (Alpha) which has a legitimate company, very small company, has even a warning on its website for scam alert not to pay anyone claiming to be him (Anthony) the real Anthony. He only delivers to his local area not accross seas, Federal Trade Commission states US citizens that play foriegn lotteries are in violation of federal law, people need to do their homework, feel sorry for the desperate ones out there willing to pay a little and think they are getting alot.
