Unsuspecting poor student scammed! Knock-off shoes bought for with hard-earned babysitting money!

The ebay seller bright999red is one to AVOID. I am reporting this as I know there are many other girls just like me who these people prey on. I work very hard throughout the academic year to pay for the things that my student loan doesn't cover - and if there's some spare cash at the end of each month, I treat myself. Sometimes it's not very much, but I started saving up for a pair of shoes a couple of months ago. I searched through the listings one day on ebay, and came across a pair that I really liked.

The second I paid (and I paid immediately) I received a message from the seller saying that he/she could not send the shoes out the next day because they 'left it at home'. I would like to point out that I did pay first class postage, next day delivery for this item. It arrived four days later. I did not get a refund for the first class postage I paid.

When I received the shoes, I felt humiliated, angry and above all, I felt like justice was needed. What is the point of sites like ebay if they become breeding grounds for more unwanted internet crimes? This is a warning for all ebay buyers - do NOT trust the seller bright999red, whatever he/she sells. I have just read a previous comment that was set on neutral (so it didn't show up on the seller's profile as negative) that said that the same thing happened, that the item was NOT as described, meaning it was fake.

It's sad to face the truth, but this kind of criminal act is becoming more and more common. The more we report and inform others of sellers like these, the higher chance we have of fighting back.
