I went for food and drinks at the crown four oaks. I haven't eaten there for a long time but was really looking forward to a nice steak. Firstly i got myself a pint of Carling, the pint was warm. When i told the lady she said it was because it had just opened. So i said so you have to come late then to get a cold one? I then told her again it is too warm for a lager. She then went to check it out. Oh dear she forget to turn the chillers on. I then asked her for a free beer which she refused. Anyway i didn't mind. I then ordered a rump steak medium. After 30 mintues it finally came, i was shocked the steak was well done and was stone cold but burnt. The peas were frezzing also and as for the chips, they were not cooked properly. The lady came over and said are you enjoying your meal. I said no its cold and the steak is well done. She replied with a oh well it happens. For £3 a pint and £8.95 for the steak i felt let down by the crown. I wonder why people from north america complain about are vile pub food. EMBER INN= poor food and drinks. I will not be eating there for a while. Best food is the butlers arms by a mile!!!
