On the 23rd of September, my business partner and myself flew from Heathrow to Johannesburg with BA.
On arrival in Johannesburg our luggage was missing. We reported it at the BA luggage desk. We were assured our luggage would be delivered. After arriving in Cape Town and 24 hours later, my bag arrived with the lock removed and all the best clothing, and clothing gifts as well a leather handbag were missing. Some of these were clothing gifts I had bought for my children. My partners bag has gone missing completely. On tracing our bags we were told they did arrive in Johannesburg. My partners bag contained at least R15000.00 worth of clothing and personal items and clothing gifts. The items ****** from my bag came to a value of at least R3000.
We have tried to claim, but the online claim form will not accept. there is an online complaint form which also does not accept. We cannot get hold of anyone who is interested. We phoned the Cape Town BA office and they promised to get someone in JHB to get back to us, which of course has not happened. ACSA who are responsible are not interested. How many bags are ******, personal property taken, and the Airline, is just not interested!!!
