Hovpod - Mr Ward & Mike Liars, Worthless Warranty, Crap Product, Worthless Service, Failure to Supply Spares Southampton

I saw the report on the internet about Hovpod and confirm that I had sufficient trouble with them to write this column.

I paid for my craft in full and spent some 18 months fighting with them to supply my craft. They constantly lied about the delivery time, refused to send me my money back and after all the lies that Mike told me, had the craft empounded by the authorities here fro 3 more weeks due to Hovpod not providing the correct port authority paperwork.

My Hovpod spent 3 days working and then seized up due to salt water, to which Pete Ward refused to accept that it was a fault of the craft. He simply said it was not meant to go on sea water..."eh", it is a hovercraft and supposed to go on water.

The Hovpod was repaired by a mate of mine and then it ran for 2 weeks before it seized again, this was examined by our local marine expert who confirmed the engine was not meant to be used for hovercraft and was in fact a aircraft engine and as such not to be used for any water based craft.

I demanded some compensation for my money and that is when the run arround started. Pete ward started saying speak to Mike and Mike started saying speak to Pete. After spending some 3 months calling from Australia to the UK, I gave up the chase and repaired the craft myself and sold it to a friend. He has spent more time fixing the Hovpod than hiring it out to locals. It breaks almost every week, pollutes ever beach it goes on and as the internet sites show, it is crap.

The Federal Council of enforcement are considering banning this craft due to the danger of breakdown at sea as it can't pass any safety standards laid down in the Northern territory here in Australia.

I still keep getting e-mails from people asking me to supply my story about how bad the vehicle really is, I simply say the craft could have been ok if was built with good components, the real problem is the people behind the company who lie and cheat their customers. They took my money and took a 18 months to supply my order. When it went wrong they did not want to know and became quite nasty on occasions. In the end my dream of taking tourists out on the craft cost me so much loss of time, it killed my business and took my home in the end.
My warning is simple, Don't believe the lies from Pete or Mike, speak to customers like me, Hovercraft Heaven and others and hear the truth about Hovpod.
