Unfair subscription charge

Was a member of Livingwell Health Club at Newcraighall on a reduced rate prior to Bannatyne's taking over. Paid annually. After takeover rate was increased. Friends who paid monthly by direct debit remained at reduced rate. Difference is �£15 per month - a difference of �£180 per year. Bannatyne's did not give me option to stay at reduced rate and pay by direct debit when they took over. Have contacted Bannatyne's membership dept several times but they state that because I paid annually they cannot offer me the reduced rate. In my view this is unfair practice as they did not give me the option to stay at the reduced rate. I was a member who was committing to the club for a full year who is now paying �£180 more per year than members who pay monthly and could leave at any time.
