Candyland board game

I placed an order for Candyland board game for my son for Christmas. I didn't receive the order. They left a card saying they had taken it to my local post office but when I went two days later it wasn't there and they said it had been returned to sender. When I contacted the sender they told me it's out of their hands and that they won't get it back and that he told them that if it doesn't get delivered it will be classed as abandoned. I am in England and it was sent from America. I have paid and they are being very rude and unhelpful in the emails. I have got the messages to prove this. I just want my order and I don't know what to do. Even parcelforce said it has been sent back to the sender but they're saying it hasn't. Thanks.
