A question of ethics

Went to watch a movie (rated 15) at Vue Camberley at 11pm. Vue has a policy that all movies are rated 18 after 10H30 irrespective of the normal rating. Although this is stated on their website, it is rather obscure at the cinemas itself. The ticket dispensing machine actually issues the tickets when the teen option is selected. No warning is given that teenagers under 18 will not be permitted. We bought food foe the show and the staff merrily sold us food and snacks without warning us that the teenager will not be allowed into the movie. the chap even asked me what movie we will be watching. When I complained, the manager was happy to refund the ticket money but not the food money. When I became annoyed, she very quickly called security. At Vue, customer service wears a uniform. Lets see if the senior management of VUE agrees with the actions of the VUE Camberley manager.
