I needed my boiler repaired fast so i went onto the search engines and typed in Boiler repair newcastle and i phoned some of the local companies in Newcastle who were all very busy repairing all the other boilers that had broken down in Newcastle in the recent cold snap.
I came across one company called Gas Angel who were based in Newcastle and also came across a report on this site in which they were accused of conning somebody.
But there was a rebutal saying it was all lies and he would give a 25% discount to people who called him so i called and spoke to a man called David who assured me it was all lies so i asked him how much it would cost to repair my boiler and he said i would have to take a look at the boiler and he would send somebody later that day.
So a chap turned up who was obviously a local from Newcastle and he said he could repair my boiler and asked for payment of 300 which i parted with and he said he would return with the boiler part to repair the boiler but he had to go and get the part from the other side of Newcastle.
Later that day Gas Angel had not turned up so i called them and they told me they could not get the part so would go to another supplier in Newcastle so they could repair my boiler but again they didnt turn up.
I was obviously annoyed and called the office again and they were closed.
3 DAYS later they attended but i couldnt wait and i had called another local firm called Universal heating who were prompt and fixed my boiler within 30 minutes.
I called Gas Angel and asked him about my Boiler repair and he swore at me and said i could whistle for my money and he threatned me several times.
I said i would contact Trading standards and he said well do that then and hung up on me.
So i advise everybody not to fall for gas angels tricks and search for another company if you need a boiler repair in newcastle.
