On 03/09/09, I noticed a chg to my bank account for $58.95 and called my bank to investigate. I was given the phone no. which appeared on my statement. I called the number provided to ask how they were able to debit my account for services I know nothing about. I was asked to provide my email address so they can verify registration. They told me that since it was not the email address that was registered that they would be happy to cancel the account immediately and provide me with full refund within 10 business days. I received an email from the stating that the account is now canceled with confirmation number included. However, they it did not state any information regarding my refund. So, I called the billing dept. requesting my full refund. I was told that I would be receiving my refund within 10 days.

After waiting more than 10 days, I called again, and again I was told that volume was high and that I will be refunded just give it some time. Since than, I contacted them repeatedly, by phone as well as email and I am told the same thing. I even threatened them with reporting them to the proper authorities and receive no reply to my emails. If this isn't a ripoff, I don't know what is. What I don't understand is how they were able to get into my bank account in the first place. I never subscribed to these people. How does this happen? And how do I prevent this from happening again?
