I was right outside of my home in Russel Square this afternoon and I was hailed over by a man inside a silver Peugot car. He asked if i spoke italian and after finding out I couldnt, he proceeded to speak broken english and explain his problem to me if I would listen.

I decided to stay and try to help seeing as he sincerely sounded like he needed it. He told me that he lost everything this morning after a Spanish girl that he slept with last night stole everything he had in his wallet, including all his credit cards and money.

I'm not the first one as I've read - but he showed me a bunch of leather jackets and told me he just finished a fashion conference in London and that he needed to get rid of his jackets otherwise he'd have to pay tax when entering the US. So i bought his story since he seemed to be a nice guy - he had to get back to Los Angeles and I figured I might as well lend him 700 pounds to pay for his car rental since he's convinced me he is a famous model and paying me back is really no big deal for him.

To sum it up - anytime you're offered 3 black leather jackets (ESPECIALLY if its free) think about it for a second before you decide to be a good person and help a fellow human.
