After driving by the apt. complex, and speaking to the staff, it became clear that this is a scam. These apartments are rentals only. They are not owned by anyone. The language used in the email contained grammatical errors. How bogus is it for someone to have keys to their apartment only in another country, especially if they have family here? How crazy is that?

Buyer beware.
