I responded to a solicited email from CallServe, a solicitation boasting of very low call rates. So I signed up and installed their software. Before I bought their calltime credits, I used the CallServe software's "test" feature. It WORKED! So, I bought US$15 worth of calltime.

But what happened after buying the call credits is a nightmare.

My calls kept getting "rejected." So I accessed their tech. support web pages for help and followed all the troubleshooting instructions to fix the problem. It still didn't work. So I emailed their Tech. support. They asked me to do the same things that the support web pages recommended. It still didn't work. I also checked with my ISP, used three different computers, three different places with internet access, disabled my Windows firewall, opened their (CallServe's) suggested ports BUT nothing worked. At every step, I notified their tech. support and they kept referring me to the same troubleshooting steps, again and again.
After wasting all "my" time and effort in vain, I finally requested them to refund my money. But they REFUSED! They said that since I was requesting termination, the money is non-refundable. So before calling my credit card company, I tried one more time to get my money back. I told them that I had acted in good faith with them. I had tried everything instructed but couldn't make a "single" call! If the thing didn't work, how could I make a call?

Finally, came the reply. It said this: "Please note that I have now issued an 'exceptional' refund of the remaining account balance (15 USD)..."

I wondered why would it be an "exceptional" refund? I didn't ask for a pardon! I worked with them to get this thing to work. I got my refund but I think I got my refund after wasting too much of my time and effort. Moreover, given my honest efforts at making their software work, they should have issued me an instant refund rather than trying to "gobble up" my hard earned money.

One thing for sure. The bad experience I have had with CallSeve will haunt me for a long time to come. I will not recommend CallServe to anybody ever. I personally believe, given my experience, is that CallServe is too interested in "stealing" customers money and not interested in serving their customers. Also, they should remember that all problem issues can not be solved by emailing a template of instructions. Moreover, they should "listen" carefully to the customer's problem.
By the way, I am now using another popular VOIP software which is doing an excellent job.
CallServe is a Ripoff!
