@yahoo ripoff eBay Power Seller offering to sell items outside of eBay Germany

On 1-24-06 I found Item number: 7003477471 on eBay under Seller kazaa68. The Summary read, Please contact me in my personal e_mail:; daubin55@yahoo.com, I need a fast payment so if you can do that I will sell it for 300 GBP. Powered by eBay Turbo Lister

Although I had never purchased on eBay before, I contacted two people who do so frequently and both said it should be safe because he was a Power Seller, had his own eBay store and therefore, had a lot to lose if he was to do something wrong. I emailed the Seller and told him I was interested in the item.

The eBay Seller replied, Hi, Yes it's still in international warranty for 1 year and 8 months, the item is like new in the original box and comes with all accessories and manuals, so if you are interested to buy I'll wait your order very soon and the buy it now price is only 300 GBP ($540), in this price the shipping and handling fees are included.

First you must know that for the payment I accept Western Union Money Transfer and I will ship you the package with FedEx priority service insured that means you will receive it within 48 hours.

You must go to an Western Union office and make the payment on my name and address, after you made the payment people from Western Union will give you a MTCN# (Money Transfer Control Number), you must mail me this number and I will check with this number at Western Union web page and if everything it's fine and you are a serious buyer I will go right away at FedEx and send you the package and the tracking number from FedEx in your e-mail to be able to check that the package is in way to you. After you will receive the package you must mail me to pick up the money.

I sent payment and he removed the item for sale immediately. It seemed legit. Then, I never heard from him nor received the item. I immediately reported him to eBay US & eBay UK. I tried to warn other buyers by posting negative feedback on his on-line eBay store but ironically, I am not allowed to post feedback. Even though he sold in the Summary of an official eBay item, he technically sold outside of eBay and therefore, the buyer is not allowed to post feedback about him or his selling practices. When I key in the Item Number it no longer exists. There is no way for me to warn other buyers reading at his eBay Summaries.
