Hard fruit

On Saturday 4th December I bought 2 packs of assorted, prepacked fruit containg melon, grapes, kiwi fruit, mango etc. On Monay 6th December I had some of the fruit with my breakfast cereal. The melon was so hard that when I bit into it, I snapped the crown off my tooth and subsequently swallowed my tooth.

While I understand your need not to waste foods and therefore the company will cut the melon as close to the skin as possible, to maximise profit, I do not feel this provides food that is fit for consumption. I now need to have the tooth replaced at a cost of at least £200.

I would appreciate your comments on this as soon as possible.
