Out of date food

I purchased a tub of happy shopper buttery spread from my local shop today 19th May. When I went to use it later I opened the tub and after removing the paper I saw mould in the butter. I then checked the date and was shocked to see it was 27th March! I also purchased some cheese at the same time and this was on todays date.
