A strange object found in a packet of onion ring crisps

I have a ‘2 for £1’ onion ring crisps from a local shop near me. I have found a particularly odd looking object in my packet and I am horrified that it looks like another piece of food or meat and this scared me further by the fact I am a strict vegetarian.
