, Italian Fashion Etc Rip-off, faking lost money

Darn. Just the best con-artist that I've ever met.

On my way to college just a week ago, this Italian guy in a mercedes stopped me. All the same stuff as other Italian scams, asked if I speak Italian, says that his credit card was stolen, and that he's going back to Italy. Then he asked me if I can give him 300 pounds to pay his car rental. In return he says that he would let me keep his jackets (Reportage, Armani) until he returns to London. I said that I don't have that much money, but he talked me out of it and succeeded. In the end, I gave him 100 pounds and I get to keep a couple of jackets (which of course can be bought for only 20 pounds in eBay). So much for trying to be a good samaritan.

I think this scam is ran by an international mafia of some sort. I don't know, but if you look at the worldwide occurrence, I'm pretty sure it is. Hope my report is of some help to others.
