Be2.co.uk
Unauhorised deduction and failure to honour cancellation request

Dating

I signed up to the online dating service Be2.co.uk in September and the paid 5 pounds they required. I will admit then that I did not realize that the sum of £149.00 would be deducted from my account six months later. When I realized what had happened, I tried to cancel my subscription. Their website is designed in such a way as to make this next to nigh impossible. I also complained about this on their customer service website. I filled in their cancellation form and faxed, posted and e-mailed it to them. To my horror, they deducted a further £149.00 six months later and threatened to send debt collectors to me because I asked my bank to retreive the money and block further deductions. To this day, they have not offered an explanation of why my repeated cancellation requests have been ignored. This company is a giant scam. I would appreciate any advise from people who know what to do in such situations.
