Norbreck castle hotel
False advertising

Traveling & Tourism

I am very angry and disappointed with the advertising of the Norbreck Castle Hotel. I booked the hotel after seeing pictures of a very clean, spacious and well presented rooms with good decour and excellant bathroom. We were looking forward to swimming in the pool, visting the gym and going to the cinema to watch a film and then going back to chill out in the room. We got to the hotel and was disappointed at the condition of the outside it was in a terriable state and looked nothing like the photos at all. But reluctantly went in side and booked in thinking the inside would be better. But sadly it was not better inside. We booked in and were told we had a superior room with a sea view. We were expecting a good size, clean and very nice room decour in the room. However the room was dirty, small, it had holes in the wall, stained lampshade, balding carpet, the shower was taped up and from the 1960's. If this is a superior room what are the standard rooms like i dread to think. We phone reception and asked for a refund as we couldn't stay in this hotel. They didn't even sound surprised when we complained. We got are refund but then had to spend all afternoon looking for somewhere else to stay. I would like a phone and an explantion of how you can advertise something that is nothing like what you say it is? There was 4 adults and a 19 mth old baby with us. this is just not acceptable?
