Having booked and paid best@travel for our holiday in Langkawi in early May including accommodation and meals, we were shocked to be told by our hotel on arrival they had not been paid and we would therefore be responsible for all hotel costs, including accommodation and meals.

We spent the week of our stay in constant contact with the best@travel representative but he was unable to get the hotel paid. Five minutes before leaving the hotel for our return journey the representative confirmed payment had finally been made.

Needless to say, it was a very stressful holiday.

On our return best@travel refuted any fault of their own, blaming the hotel, best@travel's sub-contractor in South East Asia and the sub-contractors sub-contractor for the problem.
