Ripoff abused & mistreated Shropshire

I have a small internet company. Last year, Scoot contact me and offered me a three month free trial on their site - they list company websites. I agreed, they asked me to set up a direct debit, which I did, and then nothing happened. To the best of my knowledge, they never listed me. Aftrer several months of silence, I contacted them to say I didn't want to be listed and cancelled the direct debit.

On the 8th November they sent me an invoice for a year's listing on their site - 235, and complained that they had been unable to get said funds from my bank. I phoned them, they were unhelpful. Over the following weeks, I established that I had not been listed, and on the 7th December was sent a written apology, including the statement that they would write off my account and not trouble me again. Four days later they sent me another letter threatening me with court action over the outstanding debt. I responded by post, but heard nothing more.

April the 10th, 202, I have a letter identical to the letter of the 8th November, pointing out that money is owed and unobtainable. This is deeply frustrating.

Scoot has ignored letters and emails, has failed to update records, and has caused me a good deal of stress and discomfort over the last few months. Their staff, when I have been able to contact them have, for the greater part been unhelpful.

I would appreciate any help.
