Sold fictitious advertising for local surgery

Paid for advertising that was to go on local doctors surgery appointment cards.By the time the doctors surgery confirmed it was fictitious, MLP Media Ltd had banked the cheque. MLP Media refused to answer telephone calls, letters and e mails.

I now find they have disappeared. Can I get my money back?
