This person/company approached me form the Monster.com jobsite from my posted resume. She/they made an offer of work to be an interim agent in transferring payments from their companies clients for good already shipped and received by their clients.'

Transfer was to be made by checks, made payable to myself, by the clients, and deposited by me into my own checking account. On receiving the first and only check form the supposed client, I became suspicious as the check was from a client in San Diego, CA., while the postal mark was in Queens, N.Y. When I walked the check it into the host bank, Iwas told that the check was drawn on a closed account.

Of course, I did not attempt to negotiate the check, but turnefd it over to the bank with documentation of the company's email contacts with me.

At least I did not loose anything in the process, except my time and the gas to drive to the bank.

It should be noted that I have received more than a dozen similar approaches online care of the job sites of Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com regarding similar so-called "opportunities" and would caution everyone to avoid these "too-good-to-be-true" job scams.
