Belatedly trying to charge disproportionately high postage costs Alresford

Purchased a soft banjo gig bag through ebay for the sum of $28.99 Additional postage costs were listed at a flat rate of $10.95 incl. insurance... I duly submitted the sum of $39.94

To my dismay, I was informed by elevation music that postage costs to the UK would be $44.90 which I believed to be disproportionately high and was not prepared to incur such cost.

Despite various email correspondence in which I have asked for re-imbursement no satisfactory outcome has been forthcoming. Interestingly enough, one member of the company actually said the item had been already despatched and my Paypal account indicates NO disputes whatsoever so I am really puzzled as to what is going on.

I have received a very defamatory feedback from elevation music stating that a false credit card was used in payment, which I utterly refute and have requested an explanation and retraction of this vindictive slur on my status as a customer of ebay.

The initial transaction was undertaken on 23/11/04 and has been ongoing since with no satisfactory resolution.

If there had been a genuine misunderstanding over the postage costs appertaining to the USA only then it was not clearly stated in the item description... as alluded to, all I wish is to be fully refunded for the $39.94 already outlayed and a full retraction from elevation music of the defamatory remarks left in my ebay profile
