I decided to take advantage of the VIV 3 'so called' free trial offer with Acai Berry and Life Cleanse Detox tablets. The deal was that you only pay for postage and handling.

On the ad, it stated that shipment to Australia would be 3-5 days. My 'free' trial came after 14 days.
I took the tablets for two days, but had to stop. I had severe abdominal cramps, nausea and insomnia (when I read the label, one of the products contained some sort of caffeine product; hence the insomnia and so much for 'detoxing' the body)

When my statement came in, I saw that I had only been charged for P&H as stated, but then on the next months bill there was two more amounts from this company for the total of $287.34. I immediately put a block on my credit card.

I had problems contacting this company, but eventually had to ring the UK where I spoke to an arrogant, rude man, who obviously does not have a conscience. He told me that if I did not cancel my order within 15 days, then I would automatically be billed the full price of the tablets. Free trial?

I explained that I had only recently received the goods as I was in Australia. He said the 15 days starts from the first day you place the order and they did not make any allowances for postage to overseas countries. I asked him if he thought that this was fair policy, and his comment was 'No it's not fair, but that's the way it is! ' and that I should have read their 'terms & conditions'

I am a 56 year old single woman who cannot let 'scammers' just take over half my weeks salary. I have put in a dispute with my bank, but it seems that the money has already been taken out of my account.

This company operates on 'deception' and I want to know why these 'crooks' are allowed to just take everyone's hard earned money, and no one even tries to stop them? Can't the government or the police step in?
