Iphone unlocking scam

On their website they advertise that any iphone 2, 3 or 4 upto 4.3.3 can be unlocked under 3 minutes. Innocently I fell for this and paid them £40 to unlock my iphone 4. Downloaded the software and followed all the instructions. However the phone didnt unlock. Approached customer service and they said because I have a vodafone uk phone it cannot be unlocked immediately, either I have to shell another £30 to buy factory unlock or wait upto 56 days. When asked for refund t hey stopped replying. No one answers their phones. Finally I told them that I will charge back my credit card, which I will, they then resotred to threathening that if I did that they will bar my IMEI such that I wont even be able to use it with the carrier it is locked to; ie. Vodafone UK. I know for sure they dont have the power to do so, but found it quite hilareous. Definately going ahead with the chargeback.
