UK Rip off scheme for dummies only Ignorance is not so Bliss

New to the internet Iam a little green. I received an Email last week that told me I won. I had entered several sweepstakes so I assumed I had won.
turns out after I sent $360. I was informed that that was not enough. I started investigating this. I was ripped off. I emailed him back and told him to just return my money that it wasn't worth the headache, he reponded and told me that it was out of the question. They did not give refunds> I got alittle angry emailed him back and said that i guess he was right most thieves do not return what they take voluntarily.
I have since recieved 2 job offers to collect money fro, investers in the States cash the money order or cashiers check then wire it. Today 7/24/07
I received about 5 to 6 more lottery winner emails I would like tofind out how to stop this from occuring again, but I don't know how to go about doing this. I suppose that I am out of luck recovering my money.
