Bad workmanship

My parents house had several leaks, so we instructed 'Stormtech Roofing' to come and have a look along with other companies. The gave my parents a quote of £2000. They 'promised' my parents that the leaks would be fixed by the time they have finished with them. They said they would have the works done in 2 days, but when my parents said they will have to pay half on the day and half after a few days when the works was done they changed the days when the work was to be completed to 3-4 days. They completed the work, a few days later we had a leak- flat roof leaking into the kitchen as it rained heavily the night before, so we called them and the main guy- Brian Thompson AKA Brian Pennington, came back as my parents because they still owed them the rest of the monies, he had one look and said it was due to the gutter that was fileld with leaves. The rest of the monies was paid my parents knowing that they had done a good job as they 'promised'. A few weeks later it rained badly again and we called them to come have a look, we made numerouse calls to them they keot saying 'we'll be ther in an hour', 'we'll come tomorrow' 'we'll be ther at x time' etc, this was going on for a month now and they never came. We then tried contacting them again and all the no's we had were all incorrect as they had changes all the no's.

My parents were very distressed and still are, they have lost faith in everything and feel ckeated and humiliated because of this.

The company is also known as Central Asphalt and Allied Asphalt and god knows what else. They are a family who do this- con old people, in the names of Brian- the father, stephen- the son and Carl- the son. The gave us the surname of Thompson and then later we found out that infact it is the surname of Pennington. There is also another person that works for them called John Highman, who did all the work on the roof single handedly and was done very badly.

My prents have now had the work re-done which cost then another £2000 of their savings.

My parents do not have the strenght and money to take them to court. They got cheated and should be shut down. They can do this to other people and before anyone else gets hurt they should be told.
