I have been progressing a complaint about a substandard item of clothing, via Selfridges (store purchased from) and DKNY itself (brand). I purchased a jumper in December at a cost of circa £100. And, despite only wearing on about 4 occassions, several holes have appeared on the garment. As I was out of the UK for the first 5 months of 2011 and the jumper was stored with other expensive, cashmere items (all of which are in excellent condition) I have been given no explanation, refund or offer of replacement. I have invested money in progressing this complaint, time, postage, telephone calls and emails but to no avail. As a customer who owns a significant number of top brand items I have experienced excellent customer service from other outlets and, as such, will be 'voting with my feet and purse' - no more DKNY for me!
