Refused on bus

Hi im a 19 year old girl from the Hampshire area, normally dont have a bad word to say about the company but today has really upset me! I was at a friends for the day and had to be home at 6, at the latest for dinner, so went to get the 16:53 bus. I only had a £5 note and £2 coin on me which i expected to be enough. When i got on the bus the driver was quiet; this doesnt normally bother me as i understand hes probably had a long day. The charge was about £3.10 therefore I handed over my five pound note to which I was asked if i had any smaller change, I then gave him my £2 coin, i got a smug look and he said he needed it to be closer to the exact price. I searched my purse but only had 2ps swimming in the bottom of it. I expalined this as anyone would, he said he was sorry and i couldnt get on the bus, this suprised me as have never been refused before and i was a decent distance away from home! I explained my point to which he asked me if i needed a minuite to tell him why i was upset and expalined that i needed to get home and had no other way, in the end i gave in and didnt on the bus. I had to wait in the dark on a busy road and call numerous people whilst having low battery on my phone to see if someone could pick me up, after an hour a friends sister came and got me after her shift at work!
