I bought a bmw mini from peter vardy mini edinburgh on nov 31st i paid £14, 000, within 5 weeks it had broken down, it was repaired under warranty then a week later the fault returned and it broke down again, this time the bmw garage it was taken to told me that upon closer inspection of the engine they had found extensive and serious engine wear and that it would need a new engine.at this point i have covered only 600 mile since purchase. i telephoned peter vardy and spoke to the manager asking for my money back due to the catalogue of failures in such a short time.i was refused.they were rude and dismissive.i complained to mini who basically were not interested.i asked for at least an extended warranty on the car to give me some peace of mind and was refused this also as the car has a warranty left (8 months).am now getting legal advice on the matter.i havent even had a courtesy call from peter vardy mini since buying the car and feel i have been treated very poorly by both peter vardy and mini who supposedly both pride themselves on good customer service.i have yet to see any and would urge all potential mini buyers to avoid this dealership as i woudnt want anyone to go through the trouble and worry that i have endured since purchasing from this dealership.
