Website is a Scam

I contacted someone about a horse trailer via a website that does online ads. They said they preferred to go through a "middle man" who would take care of shipping and the finance part of the deal. I went to the website and happened to see that they said they were based in the UK. I did register with the site, to make an account. I gave them my name, address, and phone number, along with my e-mail address. My husband and I decided we were afraid to go that way and told the seller that we would rather meet and deal in cash. I had no reply and went to check the website for the shipping company again, and there is no longer a website to go to. I don't think they have too much of my information, nothing more than you would ge searching the internet, but the website looked very real and I'm sure other people could fall for is easily.
