Unfound debts

A company called TNC legal servies contaceted me demanding payment of money owed to my old university within 7 days or threatening court proceedings. I do owe Sheffield hallam university some money, but no were near the amount they are demanding. I have wrote to them and e-mailed them several times for an explantion but have had no reply at all. i am constantly living in fear that a court case will be organised and heared without me, i dont know what to do. if i get a ccj, i will loose my job, my career, over what seemes to be a fictional amount of money that i am supposed to owe (excuse myspelling, i am in a real rush). i have done some digging and this "company", sloane portland... appear to be just another branch of the tnc company branded seperatley in order to threaten and scare. This seems wong to me and that is my complaint.
