Cardquery.com
Fraudulent credit card charge

Business & Finance

There was a charge made on my credit card for £19 on 2 Nov with a reference of "cardquery.com". When I went to their website to find out what the charge was for, they asked me to enter my email address and the last 5 digits of my credit card. I was then linked through to an order I made on 6 May from Symantec UK for Norton Internet Security software (complete with the order number, date, amount and the opportunity to download the virus protection again). I have contacted Norton customer support who have told me that they have no record of the charge made in November and therefore it must be fraudulent. I now have to contact my credit card provider to resolve the issue. It seems brutally ironic that purchasing internet virus protection seems to have opened me up to credit card fraud!
