Incompetent tax preparers

Steer clear of PWC! They seem to have absolutely incompetent tax preparers who can't count. Basically, I'm a US-expat who lived in the UK. PWC was provided as the service we could use for preparing our taxes in both the US & UK. On my Tax equalization statement (keeps the balance between the countries), I was informed of a very nice refund due me. Great, I sign the papers & wait. Everything is fine. Then, a couple weeks later, they come back and state they made a mistake and I owed money, the the tune of $5000.00 in the opposite direction. Needless to say, I was furious. Further, upon having a meeting with one of their so-called Cust. Svc. people, PWC only said sorry. Nothing else was going to be done. I'd settle for them to handle the wide swing, going from a 4-digit refund to a 4-digit amount being owed. The initial papers were signed and ready, then, they come back & state "oops, our bad, sorry we missed a number". Needless to say, a lot of choice words were spat-out to the a-hole. Upon inquiring more, PWC stated they only prepare and won't take responsibility for the screw-up in monies. They're web-site states they take responsibility and accountibility. Bull-sh*t. DON'T USE PWC AS TAX PREPARERS. THEY DON'T GIVE A RIP ABOUT INDIVIDUALS.

I've done my own taxes for 20-yrs prior to "having" to use PWC. No problems. Now, I get stuck with a bill that PWC's Accounting 101 flunkies screwed-up. Thanks, PWC, hope you go the way of many companies during this credit crunch.
