Disgusting action

I have a unit trust investment with Old Mutual Fund Managers in the UK and needed to redeem some units to finance an upcoming trip to the UK. Old Mutual advised me in writing that a faxed instruction to sell some units would be in order. I also opened a UK bank account in order to accept the proceeds of the sale
Having faxed off my instruction, with a request to contact me if necessary, there was no deposit made into my account. After a follow up call to the UK, I was only then advised that they needed the original instruction plus a bank statement (being a new account they couldn't't understand that I had no statement or cancelled cheques). - OMFM had moved the goal posts. I then requested to speak to Mr Matthew Brown, who had signed the letter, which request was refused. OMFM are not prepared to assist me in resolving the issue save by going through the snail mail process notwithstanding that they have created a financial problem for me by their action. I intend to close my account and will never recommend OMFM to anyone.
